Solar Farm Equipment Operator | Per Diem Available

TradeWorX is hiring experienced Heavy Equipment Operators for ongoing solar farm and renewable energy projects throughout the region. Initial work is expected to begin in Baltimore, Ohio, with additional projects scheduled across multiple states over the next 6 months.

Operators will support large-scale renewable energy construction and site development activities. We are looking for high intermediate to advanced operators with strong production experience and the ability to work independently in active civil environments.

Pay & Overtime
  • $30/hr-$35/hr
  • 40 hours per week minimum
  • Per diem available for qualifying candidates
  • Ongoing regional project work expected over the next 6 months
Job Duties
  • Operate excavators, dozers, and skid steers
  • Perform grading, trenching, backfilling, and site prep
  • Dig conduit trenches for underground electrical runs
  • Build and maintain access roads and haul routes
  • Support solar racking and installation crews
  • Move material and maintain production workflow throughout the site
  • Work safely around utilities, labor crews, and multiple subcontractors
  • Read grade stakes, trench specs, and layout markings without GPS assistance
Requirements
  • 5+ years of heavy equipment operating experience preferred
  • Strong non-GPS/manual grade experience required
  • Experience in solar, utility, heavy civil, pipeline, or site development preferred
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Drug screen and background check required
  • Valid driver’s license required
