• Coordinate simulation center schedules for simulation labs, classrooms, OSCEs, procedural training, and related educational activities while supporting efficient utilization of space, personnel, and equipment. Collaborate with faculty and simulation leadership to identify and resolve scheduling conflicts.
• Program, operate, and troubleshoot patient simulators, task trainers, VR systems, and related simulation software to align with educational objectives and scenario requirements
• Prepare, deploy, and operate simulation scenarios during educational activities, including management of physiological responses, simulated clinical data, multimedia resources, and instructor support.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot audiovisual, recording, streaming, and debriefing systems including cameras, microphones, amplifiers, projectors, and associated software platforms.
• Set up, reset, and break down simulation laboratories, procedural spaces, classrooms, and equipment for scheduled activities, including rapid room turnover when necessary.
• Maintain and support computer-based simulation systems, online learning modules, virtual reality platforms, and associated hardware/software used in simulation-based education.
• Provide technical assistance, operational guidance, and equipment training for faculty, staff, learners, and simulation personnel related to simulation technologies and educational systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair coordination, and operational testing for simulation equipment, computers, medical devices, and related technology to ensure safe and reliable functionality.
• Maintain ongoing inventory and organization of simulation equipment, consumable supplies, medical devices, and replacement parts utilizing established inventory management procedures and institutional policies.
• Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot procedural simulators, task trainers, medical equipment, and associated peripherals used for healthcare skills training.
• Provide support for moulage, staging, standardized patient activities, and simulation realism initiatives including preparation of props, simulated wounds, body fluids, and related materials.
• Collaborate with faculty, course directors, simulation educators, and interdisciplinary partners to support development, implementation, and continuous improvement of simulation-based educational activities.
• Assist with collection and tracking of operational metrics, learner utilization, equipment usage, assessment data, research support activities, and accreditation-related documentation.
• Communicate effectively with vendors, manufacturers, technical support teams, and external partners regarding equipment maintenance, repairs, updates, purchasing, and technology changes.
• Participate in simulation center outreach activities, tours, professional development sessions, staff education, and operational improvement initiatives that support the mission of the simulation center.
• Remain current with all licensure, certifications and mandatory compliances and trainings required of this position.
• Adhere to all policies, procedures and practices (Regents Rules, TTUS, HSECEP OPs, etc.)

• Preferred Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Current Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), Registered Nurse (RN), Paramedic, or Respiratory Therapist Health Care Provider. AHA certification as an Instructor in ACLS / PALS.
• Bachelor's degree in healthcare, education, simulation technology, information technology, engineering, audiovisual/media technology, theater/staging, or a related field preferred (or equivalent relevant work experience).
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in healthcare education, simulation operations, clinical simulation, audiovisual systems, or related technical support environment.
• Experience collaborating with faculty and educational departments in the preparation and execution of simulation-based learning activities.
• Background in healthcare or healthcare-related professions preferred.
• Knowledge of healthcare simulation operations, standardized patient methodologies, moulage, or simulation center workflows.
• Experience programming and operating healthcare simulation equipment including full-body patient simulators and task trainers.
• Familiarity with simulation operating platforms and software systems such as Laerdal, Gaumard, VR platforms, learning management systems, and audiovisual recording systems.
• Experience troubleshooting and maintaining simulation, computer, medical, and audiovisual equipment.
• Ability to support recording, editing, and development of audiovisual educational materials for online learning platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to organize and maintain inventory of medical equipment, simulation supplies, and consumables.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with faculty, learners, staff, vendors, and community stakeholders.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation, follow written and verbal instructions, and troubleshoot operational issues in dynamic educational environments.
• Demonstrated proficiency with computers, tablets, and institutional software applications.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality related to learner performance, simulation activities, and institutional operations.
