Position Summary:
The Welder/Fabricator will perform MIG and TIG welding, fabrication, repair, and modification of industrial equipment and custom metal projects. Our client is a busy custom job shop — not production line work. Projects vary and include industrial equipment, repairs, custom fabrication, structural work, and specialty projects for customers across multiple industries. We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator with strong fabrication and welding experience to join their team.
Qualifications:
- MIG welding experience required; TIG welding experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and specifications
- Experience working with ferrous and non-ferrous metals including aluminum, stainless steel, and mild steel
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Experience using measuring tools and fabrication equipment
- Dependable, motivated, and quality-focused
- Valid driver’s license required
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on aluminum, stainless steel, and mild steel
- Fabricate parts and assemblies from shop drawings and specifications
- Measure, cut, fit, grind, and assemble materials
- Operate fabrication equipment including saws, shear, brake, and ironworker
- Fabricate, repair, and modify industrial equipment and components
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality and accuracy to specifications
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace
- Comply with applicable safety standards and regulations
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Schedule:
- Monday-Thursday 6am-4:30pm, Fridays 6am-3:30pm
Pay:
- $20-$30/hour based on experience
