The Senior Tax Policy Counsel will serve as a key advocate and technical resource on federal tax policy, legislative and regulatory issues affecting nonprofit organizations, including charitable giving, DAFs, and endowments.
Based in Washington, D.C., the role involves building relationships with Congress and federal agencies, monitoring tax developments, and representing the organization in coalitions and conferences.
Qualifications include extensive knowledge of federal tax policy, 7+ years of relevant experience (e.g., Capitol Hill, Treasury, IRS), and strong communication skills.
Preferred candidates have established federal connections, a graduate degree in law or accounting, and familiarity with the Jewish community or Federation system.
This position supports efforts to secure funding, combat antisemitism, and promote charitable giving incentives, with a salary range of $150k–$160k.
