Position is Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm with the ability to work additional hours as project needs demand.

Incumbent should reside within the Arvest 4 State Operational Footprint (AR, KS, MO, OK).

Job Title: Senior Manager, Solution Delivery

The Senior Manager, Solution Delivery at Arvest is responsible for leading, coaching, and mentoring a team of Scrum Masters while also acting as an Agile Coach to support the organization in its agile transformation journey. This role combines leadership, coaching, and hands-on agile project management or scrum master responsibilities to enable teams to deliver high-quality products and services through agile methodologies. The Senior Manager, Solution Delivery guides the implementation of agile principles and helps teams embrace a collaborative and iterative approach to work.

What You'll Do at Arvest: (Other duties may be assigned.)

  • Lead a team of Scrum Masters, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top talent; grow and develop the team through hiring, coaching, and intentional career development.
  • Act as an Agile Coach for a program, helping teams and individuals adopt and improve agile practices.
  • Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and mentoring to enhance agile knowledge and skills.
  • Serve as a Scrum Master for select initiatives and/or product families, overseeing coordination and alignment of multiple Agile teams.
  • Support multiple agile teams to ensure progress toward objectives, goals and commitments. Guide agile teams in delivery of product increments.
  • Ensure program-level impediments are identified and resolved effectively.
  • Collaborate with Program Managers and Product Owners to align agile practices with program goals.
  • Mentor Scrum Masters in their role, helping them remove impediments and improve their facilitation skills.
  • Work with Scrum Masters to ensure agile ceremonies are tailored and effective for their teams.
  • Support continuous team improvement by partnering with Scrum Masters to evaluate team capabilities and determine opportunities for growth.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Development teams, and stakeholders to promote agile principles and foster a culture of transparency.
  • Communicate effectively with senior management about the progress and benefits of agile practices.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance agility.
  • Measure and report key agile metrics to track and optimize team performance.
  • Ensure consistency of practices across tooling, such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Identify potential risks and issues related to agile adoption and program risks and take proactive measures to mitigate them.
  • Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Toolbox for Success:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 8 years' experience working as a Scrum Master or Program Manager in an agile environment.
  • 3 years of experience managing and mentoring people.
  • Professional Scrum Master (PSM), Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent agile certification.
  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master and Agile Coach in complex environments.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and program management skills.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Lean).
  • Ability to adapt and tailor agile approaches to meet the organization's specific needs.
  • Experience with agile tools and software, specifically JIRA.
  • In-depth knowledge of agile methodologies.
  • Relevant military experience is considered for veterans and transitioning service members.

Preferred:

  • Banking/Financial experience.
