Job Summary: Recommend and manage projects that are part of the infrastructure program. Works as liaison between Maintenance Operations, Facilities Planning, Facilities Design and Construction, and Energy. Assume full responsibility for Infrastructure construction projects involving Mechanical, Plumbing and Fire Protection, and basic knowledge and understanding of Electrical Systems.

Job Description:

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Serve as project lead in working with engineering designers and construction firms to insure that the infrastructure project is designed and built consistent with the project scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Review all project related documents from design to construction documents/shop drawings to insure that the deliverables will be the best possible product, consistent with medical center standards and in keeping with scope and budget objectives.
  • Work with Facilities management team, as appropriate; to develop conceptual mechanical/electrical designs, performs system analysis, and cost estimates from which decisions can be made as to the feasibility of projects.
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage complex projects and respond quickly to changing issues and priorities involving multiple departments and stakeholders. Develop solutions that are feasible, cost-effective and acceptable to the present stakeholders.
  • Assume a leadership role in overseeing multiple projects managed through a team approach with support from other departments. Perform daily inspections of the job sites, reviews construction for compliance with the scope and design specifications, medical center standards, building code regulations, infection control measures, environmental safety interventions, and construction activity.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor''s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required.
  • 8-10 years related work experience required.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access and other web-based applications. May produce complex documents, perform analysis and maintain databases.

Preferred Qualifications:

LEED Accreditation.

Oral Communications: Ability to comprehend and communicate complex verbal information in English to medical center staff, patients, families and external customers.

Knowledge: Ability to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of concepts, practices and policies with the ability to use them in complex varied situations.

Team Work: Ability to act as a team leader for small projects or work groups, creating a collaborative and respectful team environment and improving workflows. Results may impact the operations of one or more departments.

Customer Service: Ability to provide a high level of customer service and staff training to meet customer service standards and expectations for the assigned unit(s). Resolves service issues in the assigned unit(s) in a timely and respectful manner.

Physical Nature of the Job:

Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally in carrying, lifting, pushing, pulling objects. Sitting most of the time, with walking and standing required only occasionally

Pay Range:

$120,000.00 USD - $150,000.00 USD

The pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
