Job Summary/Purpose
Provides first-rate environmental legal advice covering a broad range of environmental media, including air, water, and waste, and environmental subject matter areas. Provides exceptional client service to internal stakeholders by delivering timely, clear, and practical legal guidance tailored to business needs. Serves as a trusted strategic advisor on environmental matters across the Company’s operations, providing practical solutions that balance legal risk with business objectives. Anticipates and evaluates environmental risks across the Company’s operations and commercial transactions, ensuring issues are surfaced early and addressed effectively.
Functions effectively within the larger Company, providing direct support to operations leadership and supporting Entergy’s communications, investor relations, external reporting, corporate development, and similar functions concerning environmental issues and litigation.

Minimum education required of the position
A Juris Doctorate is required.
Minimum experience required of the position
Senior Counsel: 6+ years in a law firm or in-house experience practicing environmental law
Assistant General Counsel: 9+ years in a law firm or in-house experience practicing environmental law
Preferred/Desired Experience Extensive experience with environmental issues for the power generation industry, including environmental laws and regulations pertaining to all environmental media. Previous experience representing or regulating electric utilities highly preferred. Previous law firm experience highly preferred. Experience practicing environmental law in Mississippi, Arkansas, and/or Texas highly preferred. .

Detailed electric utility industry knowledge, including in-depth understanding of the Company’s strategic business values and objectives.
