Job Title: Security Controls Execution Analyst

Overview
We are seeking a Security Controls Execution Analyst to support the execution and maintenance of critical enterprise security controls. This role is essential to ensuring the continuity, consistency, and effectiveness of control-related activities across the organization.
The ideal candidate brings strong data analysis skills (Excel-heavy), hands-on experience working in Jira, and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams to drive control execution and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Security Controls Execution
- Execute and support ongoing information security controls in alignment with organizational policies
- Validate control activities to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance
- Maintain documentation and evidence supporting control execution
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze large datasets using advanced Microsoft Excel
- Develop reports, dashboards, and summaries to support control tracking and performance
- Utilize pivot tables, formulas, and visualizations to identify trends and insights
Jira Workflow Management
- Manage and track control-related activities using Jira
- Process and update tickets, ensuring accurate workflow progression
- Maintain visibility into task status, blockers, and completion timelines
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with application teams, business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams
- Communicate requirements, status updates, and issues clearly across all levels
- Ensure alignment and coordination for control execution activities
Process & Continuous Improvement
- Support process improvements related to control execution and reporting
- Identify inefficiencies and recommend enhancements to workflows and data tracking
- Contribute to strengthening overall control effectiveness and operational efficiency
Required Qualifications
- Experience executing or supporting information security or IT controls
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (large datasets, formulas, pivot tables, reporting)
- Hands-on experience with Jira, including workflow and ticket management
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work cross-functionally with diverse stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience validating and maintaining information security controls
- Familiarity with Jira Kanban workflows
- Experience with Microsoft Teams and SharePoint
- Background in risk, compliance, or security operations environments
