The Summer Camp Cook Assistant assists the Lead Cook in providing nutritious meals for groups of 75+ during summer camp sessions.
Responsibilities include preparing and serving meals on schedule, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen, managing inventory, and ensuring adherence to safety and sanitation standards.
They support the spiritual and physical safety of campers and staff, foster positive relationships, and participate in camp cleanup and miscellaneous duties.
The role requires at least 18 years of age, ability to lift up to 50 lbs., and food safety certification.
Work is performed in a ventilated setting with moderate noise, utilizing kitchen equipment such as stoves, ovens, and dishwashers.
Must pass background checks, demonstrate good judgment, and follow religious and confidentiality policies. The position is temporary, part-time, and non-exempt.
