We’re seeking an experienced Rooftop Foreman to lead and supervise installation teams on large-scale commercial and solar energy projects. This role is responsible for ensuring quality installations, maintaining job site safety, and meeting production goals while coaching and developing team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide daily assignments, direction, and supervision to installation crews to ensure project goals are met safely and efficiently.

  • Coach and mentor team members to improve performance, technical skill, and adherence to safety standards.

  • Maintain accountability for daily production targets while actively participating in installation work as needed.

  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment to complete various electrical and mechanical installation tasks.

  • Ensure complete and accurate installation of all equipment according to manufacturer specifications, plans, and quality standards.

  • Evaluate job sites to identify potential hazards, defects, or code compliance issues and make necessary recommendations.

  • Plan for material, tool, and manpower needs to keep projects on schedule.

  • Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications to guide installation and team assignments.

  • Collaborate with project leadership to ensure deadlines and safety requirements are consistently met.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of commercial installation experience (solar or electrical preferred).

  • Ability to read, understand, and execute detailed construction plans and blueprints.

  • In-depth understanding of equipment layout, assembly, and manufacturer installation specifications.

  • Knowledge of grounding and bonding requirements within solar installation projects.

  • OSHA 10 certification required.

  • Scissor Lift certification required.

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

  • Active driver’s license and clean driving record, with reliable transportation to and from job sites.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Trade school or technical training in electrical or solar installation.

  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.

  • Prior leadership experience overseeing field installation teams.

Schedule and Travel
This is not a standard 9–5 position. The Rooftop Foreman must have flexibility to travel Monday through Friday to job sites throughout Southern California. Weekend or extended travel may occasionally be required based on project needs.
