Location: Anchorage, Alaska
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to join a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma acute care hospital. The ideal candidate will have strong perioperative nursing experience and the ability to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Requirements
- Active Alaska RN License required
- BLS Certification required
- ACLS preferred
- CNOR preferred
- Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience required
- First-time travelers not accepted
Schedule
- 3 x 12-Hour Day Shifts
- Shift times may vary:
- 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
- 9:00 AM – 9:30 PM
- Weekend coverage required
- Limited call coverage for staff call-offs only

Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care before, during, and after surgical procedures
- Coordinate patient care with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical staff
- Maintain a safe and sterile operating room environment
- Monitor patient status throughout surgical procedures
- Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
- Document patient care accurately within Epic
