Job Description:
Participates in internal and external training programs, staying current and compliant on knowledge and skills applicable to assigned duties. Oversees IV infusions of insulin and glucose during the glucose clamp procedure, as well as the administration of IV Push medications for other procedures. Manages and oversees the dosing of Investigational Products. Supports and upholds clinical research quality standards by participating in protocol compliance, data accuracy, and adherence to regulatory requirements. Other duties as assigned. Maintains a clean and prepared clinical space, performing set-up and turnover procedures in all clinical areas according to standard practices. Communicates effectively with investigators, scientists, project managers, CRCs, staff, and research participants, serving as a participant advocate by reporting needs, concerns, abnormalities, or adverse events. Utilizes resources cost-effectively, maintaining organized and stocked clinical areas, and communicating material needs to the CRC. Maintains clinical competencies such as phlebotomy and IV insertion, and practices Universal Precautions. Keeps accurate and up-to-date source document records for all participants, completing Case Report Forms in a timely manner and ensuring data collection meets protocol specifications. Conducts clinical research trials by escorting volunteers through study visits, performing clinical tasks, collecting data, and communicating results to the Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC and investigators.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
