This volunteer position requires availability for shifts on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, ideally twice a month. Note: We do not participate in the Court Community Service Program.
Responsibilities include building trusting relationships with clients, approaching everyone with friendliness and non-judgment, remaining flexible in a fast-paced environment, paying attention to detail, and showing compassion to clients from diverse backgrounds.
Specific duties involve bagging pet food and litter, restocking retail merchandise, maintaining the Resource Center, providing pet food assistance, cashiering, and other tasks as assigned.
Preferred skills include basic animal knowledge, retail or customer service experience, cash handling, and experience working with underserved populations or in social services. Volunteers must adhere to the organization's expectations and be at least 21 years old.
Shift options include Tuesdays and/or Thursdays from 11:30 am to 4:30 pm EST.
