Job Title: Research Coordinator

Grade: 11

Salary: $46,021-$54,975

Research Foundation for mental Hygiene Inc is seeking a motivated, full-time research coordinator in the Department of Psychiatry at Columbia University Irving Medical Center / NYSPI to assist with studies related to the use of psychedelics in clinical subjects. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to research at the intersection of psychiatry and novel therapeutics. The Research Coordinator will play a central role in study implementation, regulatory management, participant coordination, and day-to-day trial operations

Duties and Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with IRB submissions, amendments, and regulatory compliance
  • Maintain and organize regulatory documentation and study records
  • Develop and manage research databases within REDCap/Qualtrics, and mHealth systems
  • Coordinate participant recruitment, screening, and retention
  • Oversee daily study operations and ensure protocol adherence
  • Conduct literature reviews to support study development and manuscripts
  • Train and supervise research assistants and volunteers
  • Support lab operations and study logistics - Coordinate dosing day logistics, including room setup and turnover
  • Interface with pharmacy staff, assist with prescriptions, and prepare medication kits
  • Support data visualization/dashboard development for interim analyses
  • Assist with data analysis in collaboration with a statistician
  • Prepare presentations, abstracts, and manuscripts - Contribute to grant preparation and submissions

Minimum Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

  • (2+) years Prior clinical research experience, ideally with database management
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in preferably in life sciences, psychology, or related field

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications

  • (2+) years' experience with IRB processes and regulatory documentation
  • (2+) years' experience working with REDCap, Qualtrics, or similar platforms
  • (2+) years' experience working in clinical trials or psychiatric research
  • Interest in psychedelic science, behavioral health, or neuropsychiatric conditions
  • Comfort in patient-facing roles and sensitive clinical settings
  • Strong organizational, writing, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced research environment
