Registered Nurse - PCU (Medical-Surgical) - 12H Nights – City, State

What You’ll Do:
  • Provide specialized nursing care to adult patients in the PCU, including those with respiratory failure, sepsis, stroke, DKA, and post-cardiac procedures
  • Manage patient assessments, IV management, medication administration, and drips titration (e.g., Levophed, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Insulin)
  • Monitor patients’ vitals, assist with complex procedures like CVL placement, arterial lines, and NG/PEG feedings
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including RT, hospitalists, OT, PT, and ST
  • Document patient care accurately in Meditech Expanse EMR system
  • Maintain a high standard of professionalism, patient safety, and compliance throughout your shift

What You Need:
  • Active RN license in State
  • 2+ years of acute care RN experience, preferably in ICU or PCU setting
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
  • Ability to pass an EKG competency exam
  • Strong clinical skills including CVL management, arterial line care, and medication titration
  • Flexibility to work weekend rotations and 12-hour night shifts

About the Assignment:
Join a dedicated team providing high-quality, compassionate care in a fast-paced, supportive environment. The unit primarily manages adult patients with complex medical needs, requiring skilled, detail-oriented nursing. You will be supported by a hospitalist, resource nurses, RTs, and other specialists to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Orientation includes a 2-day hospital onboarding plus a 1-shift unit orientation to familiarize you with protocols and procedures.
