For over 17 years, Just Around the Corner has provided professional dog walking and pet sitting throughout Plymouth, MA. Our clients trust us with beloved family members, and we take that responsibility seriously. We are looking for dependable, compassionate animal lovers who want to build meaningful relationships with pets, clients, and our team.

What This Position Looks Like

• Our dog walkers travel between client homes throughout Plymouth during the weekday midday hours, providing dogs with exercise, enrichment, companionship, and safe, attentive care.
• This is an active, independent position that requires reliability, excellent communication, and confidence working with dogs of all sizes, breeds, personalities, and energy levels.
• Many of our clients rely on us weekly while they are at work, so consistency and professionalism matter greatly in this role.
• Routes are scheduled to keep dog walkers within 10-15 minute driving radius whenever possible. Candidates are matched to routes based on where they live to minimize travel time and increase efficiency.

Schedule Requirements

Weekday midday availability is required

We are specifically hiring for availability such as:

• Monday-Friday
• Approximately 9AM-3PM or similar midday schedule
• Minimum 3 weekdays per week
• We are hiring for multiple neighborhoods across Plymouth and Sagamore Beach and will match candidates with a schedule nearest their home location.

Responsibilities

• Walk dogs safely in neighborhoods and local communities
• 
  
• Care for pets in clients' homes
• Handle dogs with varying temperaments, sizes, and leash behaviors
• Follow detailed care instructions carefully
• Provide fresh water, exercise, companionship, and enrichment
• Send visit updates and photos through our pet care app
• Communicate with the office and team throughout the day
• Maintain professionalism and reliability with every client visit

What We're Looking For

• Experience with dogs of different breeds, sizes, and personalities
• Ability to take up to 6-8 consecutive dog walks while maintaining safety and efficient time management
• Comfort handling energetic, shy, reactive, or strong dogs appropriately
• Dependable transportation and willingness to drive throughout Plymouth
• Strong communication and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently while remaining team-oriented
• Reliability, maturity, and professionalism
• A genuine commitment to animal welfare and excellent client service

Most importantly, we are looking for people interested in becoming part of a long-term professional pet care team -- not simply filling temporary work between jobs.

Pay & Benefits

• $16-18/hour base pay
• Mileage reimbursement between visits
• Most team members average $18-25/hour effective earnings
