POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for accurate and timely completion of AELP payroll functions in compliance with all applicable laws, contractual requirements, and company policy. This scope of responsibility includes complying with state and federal tax withholding and reporting requirements; non-government withholding and reporting requirements; maintenance of employee and payroll files and owning employee-related data in the company’s payroll software; and coordinating access to AELP benefits, both union and non-union; and supporting the personnel services budgeting process. This position works closely with AELP’s assistant controller, controller, chief financial officer, and chief people officer to provide proactive payroll services across the company.

EQUIPMENT UTILIZED:
The duties of this position will require regular use of a desktop computer, keyboard, mouse, telephone, printer, as well as other office equipment as required for the job.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
To meet all expectations of this position, the employee must be able to lift 20 pounds without assistance and sit for long periods of time.
MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
For an employee to succeed in this position they will need to: utilize analytical skills for complex problem solving, prioritize workload, work efficiently and meet deadlines, collaborate with coworkers, and adapt to changing tasks.
