York Hospital 48 Adult Medicine Beds: 5 Maternity, 5 ICU Outpatient community clinic setting Strong Primary Care and specialty services Minimal inpatient services responsibility Tele Neurology and Tele Stroke via Mass General Hospital Affiliation Position Attributes Full-time, hospital employed Competitive salary and excellent benefits Outpatient Monday#Friday, 5 days/week including administrative time Candidate Requirements License to practice as an Advanced Practitioner Registered Nurse (APRN) in the State of Maine or licensed board-certified Physician Assistant in the state of Maine. Must have current, unrestricted, Maine licensure in progress and be active on date of hire Current, unrestricted federal and, as needed, state prescriptive authority Self-motivated and entrepreneurial The PA or NP under the supervision of the Physician, who acts as the collaborative practitioner, is responsible for the following: Performs physician examinations of patients; evaluation and treatment of acute and chronic urologic conditions. Performs some in-office procedures Orders and interprets diagnostic tests, routine laboratory, e-ray etc.. Monitors the patient#s course of treatment and makes appropriate referral to either a physician or specialist, as needed.
