We’re partnering with a growing insurance organization to identify an Underwriting Analyst to support a dynamic Stop Loss underwriting team.
This role is ideal for a professional with experience in health insurance, stop loss, or self-funded plans who enjoys working with underwriting data, risk analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities:
• Review underwriting data and validate quote accuracy prior to release
• Analyze risk parameters, large claims activity, and group experience data
• Support underwriting decisions through detailed summaries and recommendations
• Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements
• Maintain accurate documentation and data integrity across underwriting systems
• Partner closely with Underwriters, Actuaries, and Sales teams
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required
• 2+ years of experience in insurance, stop loss, or health plan environments
• Strong Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis
• Experience with underwriting systems or rating tools preferred
• Insurance designations or progress toward them are a plus
