The role involves generating and modifying drawings and documentation, managing digital mechanical data files, and preparing engineering change orders.
It includes inputting data and managing hardware structures within a Product Data Management system (Vault).
Preferred skills include:
- Expertise in 3D parametric CAD modeling and PDM systems, especially Autodesk/Inventor and Vault.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of manufacturing and assembly techniques.
- Knowledge of industry standards like ASME Y14.5 and Y14.100, including their application in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
- Experience supporting design aspects of space structures, mechanisms, electronics packaging, or composite structures.
