MATERIAL HANDLER / CASE PICKER | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:

• Location: Sumter SC 29153 – 100% on-site
• Payrate: $16.50/hr
• Required Availability: Full-Time | Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• • Possible Saturdays based on business needs

MATERIAL HANDLER / CASE PICKER | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:

The Material Handler / Case Picker will support warehouse and distribution operations by picking, packing, scanning, palletizing, and preparing materials for shipment. The position involves operating pallet jacks and RF scanners, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring orders are processed safely and efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Candidates may also have opportunities to train on forklifts or reach trucks.

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance

MATERIAL HANDLER / CASE PICKER | RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Stack boxes and palletize materials for shipment
• Pick, pack, label, and scan customer orders
• Use RF scanners and warehouse technology systems
• Operate pallet jacks and material handling equipment
• Assist with pallet building and repalletizing products
• Prepare shipments and verify order accuracy
• Maintain clean and organized work areas
• Follow SOPs, safety procedures, and warehouse guidelines
• Support cross-training and assist in other warehouse areas as needed
• May be trained on forklifts or reach trucks in the future

MATERIAL HANDLER / CASE PICKER | REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable)
• Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
• 1+ year of warehouse, distribution, shipping, or material handling experience preferred
• Experience using pallet jacks or warehouse equipment is a plus
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to read and interpret warehouse documents
• Comfortable working independently and with a team
• Reliable attendance and punctuality required

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, reaching, and repetitive movement
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work around moving warehouse equipment
