Job Title: Manufacturing Quality & Production Inspector

Location: Fostoria, Ohio

Type: Contract

Compensation: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Contractor Work Model: Onsite

Responsibilities

  • Monitor day-to-day production activity at the supplier facility to ensure alignment with agreed schedules
  • Track and report progress against production timelines, identifying delays or risks early
  • Review and interpret Gantt charts and production schedules to assess performance
  • Communicate regular updates to the client regarding production status, bottlenecks, and recovery plans
  • Inspect finished metal-framed windows for defects, ensuring compliance with quality standards and specifications
  • Document and escalate quality issues, working with supplier personnel to drive corrective actions
  • Serve as a liaison between client and supplier to improve transparency and accountability
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to production efficiency and quality
Requirements
  • Proven experience in sheet metal or aluminum manufacturing environments
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production flow, and quality control
  • Experience inspecting fabricated metal products for defects (preferably window frames or similar assemblies)
  • Ability to read and interpret Gantt charts, production schedules, and work orders
  • Familiarity with production planning and scheduling concepts
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear, concise updates to stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to work independently in a supplier-facing, on-site role
