Summary

Responsible for assisting Registered Nurses with care and assessment all age groups within the Standard of Care set by Parkview Health System and Indiana Nurse Practice Act. Collaborate with physicians and other departments to achieve quality and safety goals. Triage clinical concerns and communicate status on labs and imaging back to physician. Demonstrate commitment to service with a passionate desire to improve the patient experience. Handle all aspects of inpatient hospital discharge: post-discharge follow-up appointments, medication prior authorizations and outpatient phone calls for any clinical concerns after discharge. Participate in daily huddles. Collaborate with nurse case managers on ECF placement. Pend orders in EMR for physician sign off.

Education

Must be a graduate of a school of nursing. Must complete General Orientation, Patient Care Orientation, and unit specific orientation as provided and required.

Licensure/Certification

Valid Licensed Practice Nurse License required for the State where services will be provided. Must have current CPR certification.

Experience

Demonstrate experience in customer service, establishing priorities, and working independently.

Other Qualifications

Must have good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and assist with 100 lbs.
