This is a part-time (50%) Lecturer position in Japanese language starting in fall 2026 at UCLA’s Department of Asian Languages and Cultures.
Qualified candidates must have native or near-native proficiency in Japanese and English, with an M.A. or Ph.D. in applied linguistics, Japanese language/linguistics, education, or related fields.
Applicants should have at least three years of university-level teaching experience across all Japanese language levels.
The application requires a cover letter, teaching statement, CV, sample student evaluations (if available), sample lesson plans for introductory, intermediate, and advanced classes, a statement on contributions to UCLA’s mission, and a classroom teaching video.
