We are seeking an experienced Product Development Formulation Chemist to join our Burbank, CA team, reporting to the Product Development Manager.
As a Lead Chemist, you will drive the development, process, and commercialization of aerospace sealants and adhesives.
Key responsibilities include leading projects to design, formulate, and test products that meet customer specifications, with approximately 70% of your time on product development and 30% on collaboration and technology growth.
You will oversee junior team members, manage project timelines, monitor industry trends and patents, and collaborate externally to develop new technologies.
Qualifications include a PhD in Organic Chemistry, Materials Science, Materials Engineering, or Polymer Science, with 3+ years in sealants, adhesives, composites, or coatings.
Strong understanding of material interactions, attention to detail, collaboration skills, and a proactive work ethic are essential.
