Job Summary
Under limited supervision, the Senior Special Procedure Tech provides direct care pre, intra, and post for patients undergoing Heart and/or Vascular procedures to assist physicians and delivers quality patient/family centered care. The incumbent may be required to perform IV starts, prep patients, monitor hemodynamics, operate equipment, document procedures, vascular access site management, and provide patient/family education.
Essential Functions
Monitor patients undergoing routine invasive, interventional procedures. Provide intra-procedural technical support and quality patient/family centered care.
May be required to perform and record hemodynamic/physiologic wave forms and calculations.
Communicate effectively with co-workers, physicians, patients, families, and all ancillary departments while consistently demonstrating the Beaumont Standards.
Perform quality assurance checks on technical equipment. Perform department skills validations.
Maintain radiation safety standards for staff and patients in compliance with the Beaumont Radiation Safety Department.
Required to take On Call per department schedule.
May be required to provide training to less experienced techs.
IR Special Procedure Techs must be able to 1st assist physicians using sterile technique, and fully participate in image post processing, cross modality imaging (CT, U/S), 3D imaging, vascular, and cerebral cases if performed at the site.
Cath Lab Special Procedure Techs, if performed at the site, must be able to utilize IVUS, FFR, OCT, ICE, EKOS, Impella, Cardiac, peripheral, and Carotid interventions.
EP Lab Special Procedure Techs, if performed at the site, must be able to utilize ICE, participate in device Implants, and circulate in all other EP cases. As well as 3D mapping, advanced EP procedures, and laser lead extractions.
Qualifications
Required Associate's Degree Interventional Radiology requires completion of an accredited radiography program (JRCERT).
Required Associate's Degree or equivalent in cardiovascular technology/basic science, Paramedic license, Exercise Physiologist, training and/or education.
3 years of relevant experience Employee must have more than 3 + years of Interventional experience. Required
Employee must be an expert and able to train others in the clinical skills listed within below grid per each individual department and/or site Product. Required
If the department is a combination of specialties, employee must be an expert in all areas that are performed. Required

Examples of action: If staff provided services ending the week Sep 3, 2023 and Service Provider does not submit accurate timesheets no later Oct 18, 2023, Client shall not be obligated to pay for the service provided during that timeframe.
-Supplier must take system action to implement agreed upon rate changes prior to the week the change becomes effective.
-It is highly recommended that timesheet reconciliation and issue inquiry/correction is performed by the supplier prior to the 45 days.
-No other forms of invoicing are accepted outside of our timesheet approval process.
