Overview
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Maintenance Technician who takes pride in quality work, strong customer service, and keeping residential communities running smoothly. This role is ideal for someone who is skilled in HVAC systems, comfortable with general maintenance, and enjoys working in a fast paced environment where no two days are the same.
You will be the primary expert for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems while also supporting general repairs throughout the property. This position includes participation in a rotating on call schedule for afterhours emergencies.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, including compressors, motors, coils, and thermostats
Perform preventative maintenance on heating and cooling equipment
Handle refrigerants safely and in compliance with EPA standards
Complete general maintenance tasks including plumbing repairs, unclogging drains, fixing leaks, and basic electrical work
Respond to resident work orders with professionalism and urgency
Prepare apartment units for new residents, including repairs and quality checks
Conduct routine inspections of buildings, equipment, and mechanical systems
Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and completed work
Participate in a rotating on call schedule for afterhours emergencies
Required Certifications
Valid HVAC Certification
EPA Universal Certification
Required Experience and Skills
1-2 years of hands-on HVAC experience
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, troubleshooting, and repair
Experience with general maintenance including plumbing and electrical
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to lift more than 75 pounds
Ability to work in various weather conditions
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
