Wisconsin Lutheran College (WLC) is seeking a Health Services Nurse Practitioner to provide primary and episodic healthcare services to WLC students through direct clinical care, health promotion, and care and services coordination. Working collaboratively with the Medical Director and the Dean of Student Services, the nurse practitioner will function with appropriate clinical autonomy with the Wisconsin APNP scope of practice, support the daily operations of Health Services within the Office of Health & Counseling Services, and serve as a consultant to faculty and staff on student health and wellness concerns.

Qualifications include:

  • Licensed as an Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber (APNP) in the State of Wisconsin with national board certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain DEA registration.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of health and wellness challenges affecting post-secondary students.
  • Demonstrated clinical competency in assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, prescribing, and management of common acute and chronic health conditions.
  • Familiarity with health insurance processes to assist students with claims and coverage questions.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Electronic Health Records systems. Familiarity with Medicat EHR is preferred.
  • Two to five years of clinical experience, preferably in an educational or campus health setting (preferred).
