Description

The Health Administration Intern supports a variety of projects across multiple lines of business, with opportunities to engage in day-to-day operations, workflow coordination, and cross-team collaboration. This role provides exposure to working with clients and internal teams, helping the intern understand how different parts of an organization come together to deliver services and solutions.

Throughout the experience, the intern will assist with organizing information, tracking progress, and contributing to ongoing initiatives, while gaining insight into healthcare operations and client engagement. The position is designed to provide hands-on learning in a collaborative environment and build a foundational understanding of how projects and processes are managed across a complex organization. While somewhat flexible on timing, we expect the intern to work onsite from our Seattle office for a 12-week period during the May 2026 - August 2026 timeframe.

What You Will Do

In this role, you will support a range of core tasks and responsibilities, including assisting with coordination of project activities, organizing and tracking key deliverables, and helping to document processes and workflows. You will have the opportunity to contribute to client-facing and internal work across multiple lines of business, gaining exposure to how teams collaborate to deliver results.

Additional responsibilities may include conducting basic research and analysis, preparing summaries or materials for meetings, and supporting efforts to improve operational processes. Throughout the experience, you will work closely with team members to build an understanding of healthcare operations, client engagement, and cross-functional collaboration.

What We're Looking For

Professional Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Health Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Basic understanding of healthcare systems, operations, or policy (coursework or prior experience)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Ability to gather, organize, and summarize information effectively

Personal Qualifications

  • Curiosity and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and follow-through on tasks

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with data analysis or reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI)
  • Interest in healthcare strategy, operations, or client-facing work
  • Experience working in team-based or cross-functional environments

Location

This position is based out of the Milliman office in Seattle, Washington. Candidates hired into this role must be willing to work onsite full-time.

Compensation

The hourly wage for this role is $21.00 - $38.00. A combination of factors will be considered, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, etc.
