The JV Head Basketball Cheer Coach position involves leading and developing a cheerleading team, focusing on skill-building, team cohesion, and performance preparation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and conducting practices to improve cheer skills and coordination
- Teaching and choreographing routines, chants, and stunts
- Ensuring safety standards are followed
- Mentoring athletes and fostering a positive environment
- Coordinating team participation in events and games
- Communicating with parents and stakeholders
- Reporting to the Program Director
Qualifications required include cheerleading or coaching experience, strong knowledge of cheer techniques and safety, excellent leadership and communication skills, and a valid coaching or teaching certificate. CPR and First Aid certification are preferred. This is a seasonal, temporary position with one opening.
