JOB TITLE: FPGA Design/Verification Engineer 
LOCATION: Owego, NY (Telework < 50%)
PAY RATE: $60–$80/hr (NOOT)

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Perform FPGA verification activities in support of DO-254 Level A certification, including requirements analysis, test development, simulation, coverage analysis, and results documentation.

  • Develop and verify DSP, high-speed digital, high-speed communication, and SoC FPGA designs.

  • Work with systems, RF/analog, digital, and ASIC/FPGA engineering teams to develop next-generation products.

  • Support design, simulation, integration, and test of complex high-speed systems.

  • Develop scripts and automation to improve FPGA development workflows.

  • Participate in certification audits and technical reviews.

  • Provide technical direction and mentoring to junior engineers.

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field (required)

  • Experience with FPGA design and verification tools (Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus, Synopsys Synplify).

  • Proficient in SystemVerilog.

  • Experience with HDL simulators, waveform viewers, and coverage tools.

  • Familiarity with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing and lab equipment (JTAG, logic analyzers, etc.).

  • Experience with version control and configuration management systems.

  • Prior involvement in FAA/EASA certification audits preferred.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

 

Desired Skills:

  • Proficiency in UVM

  • Proficiency in C

  • Experience with COTS control platforms and embedded processors on FPGA platforms

  • High-speed networking and digital signal processing experience
