Job Details

Join our dynamic team as a Permanent Fire Alarm Service Technician in the fast-paced and ever-evolving Construction industry. We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated professional with a knack for problem-solving and a keen eye for detail. This role involves working on diverse projects, servicing and maintaining fire alarm systems to ensure the safety and security of various structures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fire alarm service, with expertise in Video Surveillance, Access Control, Installation, NICET, CSA, and Troubleshooting. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities:
  • Install, service, and troubleshoot fire alarm systems in commercial and residential buildings.
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of fire alarm systems to ensure they are functioning optimally.
  • Respond to emergency calls for fire alarm malfunctions and perform necessary repairs.
  • Program and test fire alarm systems, ensuring they comply with safety standards and building codes.
  • Work with Access Control and Video Surveillance systems, ensuring they are integrated effectively with fire alarm systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and recommendations to clients regarding fire alarm system installation and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Keep abreast of the latest trends and technologies in the fire alarm service industry.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures during work execution.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in fire alarm service and maintenance.
  • Proficient in Video Surveillance, Access Control, Installation, and Troubleshooting.
  • Certification in NICET and CSA is required.
  • Strong understanding of fire alarm systems, including their design, installation, and functionality.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair system malfunctions effectively.
  • Solid understanding of building codes and safety standards related to fire alarm systems.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical details to non-technical clients.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to respond to emergency calls outside regular work hours.
  • High level of physical fitness, with the ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
