What You will Do:

• Provide engineering analysis support for hardware departure records of gas turbine engine components.

• Develop baseline stress models for rotating equipment (disks, spools, and shafts) by leveraging aircraft engine component design and analysis expertise. 

• Support evaluation of component failure/distress investigations, and make improvements to new components, and develop repair modifications.

• Create standard work processes including design guidelines and specific design methodologies, aligned with aircraft engine industry best practices for stress analysis and lifting of rotating equipment components.

• Support supplier development activities and qualifications for designated aeroderivative components for industrialization of repair hardware and new make spares.

• Conduct internal reviews and provide recommendations by leveraging in-house expertise in accordance with established aeroderivative processes and best practices. This encompasses the final release of component/assembly definitions, and any critical decisions or trade-offs related to modifications and improvements.

What You Will Bring:

• BS in Mechanical or equivalent engineering from an accredited university or college.

• 10+ years of experience in structural/FEA analysis using ANSYS software.

• Experience with Gas turbine engine components finite element modeling and analysis.

• US Citizen or Green Card required.

Pay Range: $100K to $120K

Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.

Work Requirements:

The work location is Greenville, SC (remote in USA possible for qualified candidates)

• You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.

• Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs. 

Travel requirements: Up to 5% of travel is required.

Citizenship requirement: Due to the nature of the work, U.S. citizenship or Green card is required.
