Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic components in vehicles, including wiring, lighting, sensors and control modules.
Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
Test drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems
Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so customers can be informed if any additional service is needed
Provide estimates of time needed for additional repairs
Ensure all work is completed to high-quality standards and follows manufacturer's warranty specifications
Maintain detailed records of all repairs, parts used and services performed
Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
Stay up to date with the latest automotive technology and industry trends through training and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
At least 3 years of experience as a ASE or Volkswagen technician
Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance
Fast, eager learner and team player
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong customer service skills
Computer skills and willingness to learn new problems
Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
Clean driving record & valid driver’s license
