Position Overview:
Responsible for assessing and ensuring the safety of patients participating in therapeutic and cardiac rehabilitation exercise programs. Collaborates with cardiology and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop, implement, and adjust individualized exercise prescriptions based on each patient’s medical condition and functional capacity. Independently works with cardiac rehabilitation class participants, continuously monitoring vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and physiological responses to exercise, and initiating appropriate medical intervention as needed. Ensures proper and safe use of exercise equipment and maintains compliance with clinical protocols and standards of care. Communicates effectively with healthcare providers through accurate documentation and ongoing care coordination within the electronic medical record.

Strongly Preferred Skills
+ Proficiency in 12‑Lead ECG interpretation
+ Experience performing and monitoring cardiac stress testing
+ Strong competency in EKG analysis and rhythm interpretation
+ Hands-on experience with exercise stress testing protocols in a clinical or cardiology setting
EDUCATION:
_Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma._
Bachelor's: exercise physiology or related field
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
DEPARTMENT REQUIRED CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
Department, PAMF Cardiology: ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
2 years recent relevant experience
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology, chemistry, and physics.
In-depth knowledge of exercise testing, exercise equipment and quality control.
Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to perform multiple tasks and prioritize independently with follow through in a timely manner.
Ability to design, implement, and supervise individualized exercise prescriptions for people with chronic disease and disabling conditions.
Ability to respond appropriately to emergency situations.

Pay Range is $50.16 to $62.69 / hour
