Electro-Mechanical Assembler

Qualifications:

• AS degree or equivalent experience preferred
• 5+ years of experience in electro-mechanical environment
• Experience building prototypes and constructing military-grade cables/harnesses for ATE (automated test equipment)
• Ability to read schematics, wire lists, blueprints, mechanical assembly drawings, and fabrication drawings
• Proficiency with hand tools including torque wrenches, solder irons, continuity testers, calipers, pin extraction tools, wire crimpers, and riveting tools
• Soldering skills with through-hole and SMT components
• IPC-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification or familiarity
• Experience with assembly and wiring of test systems
• Ability to follow verbal assembly instructions and technical documentation
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret complex wiring diagrams

Responsibilities:

• Construct complex cables, harnesses, and ITAs from schematics including braiding and tubing
• Wire prototype PCBs, install/solder components, and perform CCA rework
• Build and wire rack systems, portable testers, and mechanical chassis for system integration
• Build units following Manufacturer Assembly Instructions (MAI) and interpret wiring diagrams and technical drawings
• Assist with various mechanical assemblies and ad-hoc production support tasks in fast-paced environment
