Job Details

Overview
Looking for an Electrical Technician to support hotline rolling operations inside a large, high-volume aluminum mill. This role leans more into power systems, combustion, and plant-wide infrastructure compared to cold mill work.
What you’ll be doing

Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues across hotline rolling equipment and plant systems to minimize downtime
Support medium and high voltage systems, 250VDC supply, compressors, cranes, CNC equipment, and networked controls
Diagnose and work on PLCs, drives, motors, and control systems in a heavy industrial environment
Lead root cause analysis on recurring failures and implement reliability improvements
Support installation, startup, and commissioning of new or upgraded equipment
Partner with maintenance and operations teams to improve uptime and technical capability
Develop and maintain SOPs and support training for operators and maintenance personnel

What we are looking for

3+ years of electrical experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong troubleshooting ability across electrical, controls, and power systems
Experience reading electrical prints and working through failures end-to-end
Hands-on experience with PLCs, drives, motors, and industrial automation
Ability to support a mix of planned maintenance and urgent production issues

Nice to have

Electrical apprenticeship or technical degree
Experience with medium/high voltage and plant power distribution
Combustion systems or industrial boiler experience
Exposure to networked systems, instrumentation, and process controls

Environment

Large, complex aluminum rolling mill with heavy equipment and continuous production
Mix of controls, power distribution, and mechanical systems
Strong focus on safety, uptime, and long-term equipment reliability
