Position Summary: The Director of Strategic Partnerships is responsible for leading the external efforts to convert qualified prospects into permanent residents through engagement and attraction from outreach efforts and professional partnerships. It is the responsibility of the Director of Strategic Partnerships to achieve and maintain maximum occupancy and total revenue potential. This role requires independent thinking and creative efforts in identifying, targeting, establishing, and maintaining professional referral development partnerships.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, human services, or business management preferred
  • Minimum 3-5 years sales/marketing experience and professional contacts within the healthcare industry in New York City
  • Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and any applicable Customer Relations Management System (“CRM”)
  • Experience with or interest in working with seniors including those with memory care needs

  • Oral and Written Comprehension and Expression - Must be able to convey and understand information and ideas in English
  • Exceptional customer service and public relations skills
  • Must have a strong proven ability to effectively handle problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
  • Must work well in high-level stressful, high-pressure situations while being able to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
  • Effective problem-solving skills and a creative approach to achieving goals
  • Exceptional customer service and public relations skills
  • Proven record of identifying and developing professional referral sources
  • Must have the ability to assimilate complex information, data, etc. from multiple sources and consider, adjust, or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by residents and guests
  • Mathematical Reasoning – Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions
  • Must be able to prioritize departmental functions in order to meet due dates and deadlines
  • Ability to stand for long hours and walk long distances without fatigue
  • Ability to bend, stretch, stoop and reach repeatedly without difficulty
  • Light work – Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move object
  • Ability to work under variable temperatures and noise levels
  • Free of communicable diseases
  • Utilize technology as a means of communication necessary to support resident needs and ensure operational compliance as well as resident safety and security
  • Systems - Effectively use CRM to maintain a high-quality outreach and sales effort
  • Other related duties as assigned.
