The Director, Hospitality Management provides strategic and academic leadership for the hospitality program, overseeing faculty, staff, and resources to ensure curriculum relevance and student success.
Responsibilities include
- serving as a departmental advocate and participating in strategic planning, accreditation, and governance;
- leading personnel management, fostering a positive team culture, and supporting adjunct instructors;
- guiding curriculum development to stay industry-current and aligned with market needs;
- facilitating student matriculation, retention, and career placement;
- building external industry relationships for internships and professional development;
- administering departmental budgets and operational plans.
Qualifications include a
- Master’s degree in hospitality management or related field;
- prior teaching or administrative experience at the community college or university level;
- leadership skills in supervising faculty/staff and managing departmental operations.
Preferred candidates have 5+ years of hospitality education experience. The role offers full-time employment with a salary range of $73,109-$96,115, excluding hybrid work options, and benefits including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and tuition assistance.
