Shift Timing: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Weekly Hours: 40 Hours
Position Overview:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a qualified Dietitian to provide comprehensive nutritional care and medical nutrition therapy within a behavioral health and psychiatric care environment. The Dietitian will assess patient nutritional needs, develop individualized care plans, educate patients and staff, and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to improve patient health outcomes while ensuring compliance with nutrition and food safety standards.
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for patients and clients
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans
Provide medical nutrition therapy based on clinical conditions and evidence-based guidelines
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
Educate patients, families, and staff regarding therapeutic diets, nutrition principles, and healthy eating habits
Document assessments, interventions, and progress notes according to facility and regulatory standards
Participate in menu planning, quality improvement initiatives, and nutrition policy development
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local food safety and sanitation regulations
Monitor patient food intake, tolerance, and adherence to prescribed diets
Support implementation of nutrition care plans under Dietitian supervision as needed
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field required
Completion of an accredited dietetic internship required
Licensure / Certification:
Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential required
State licensure or eligibility required (CDN may be obtained after hire if applicable)
