Pony Bird, Inc. is looking for a part-time, qualified Dietary Aide/Cook at our Mapaville location! We provide comprehensive, high-quality supports and services for up to 60 individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities in a fun, enriching, and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Process and Prepare food according to each individuals dietary guidelines.
  • Ensure food is hygienically and correctly prepared (consistency), is accurate (verify labels to ensure its the right plate with correct diet - mindful of allergies - assigned to the correct consumer) and follows meal guidelines (portioned correctly)
  • Food Service and delivery (food for individuals must be age and developmentally appropriate).
  • A variety of routine kitchen duties, including but not limited to: inventory control, assisting with ordering and receiving product, operation of residential and commercial kitchen equipment, dishwashing and general cleaning in a residential living environment.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18.
  • Must have a High School Diploma/GED
  • Reliable transportation
  • Expected to be able to cook and meet federal and state food/safety regulations.
  • Must be capable of dealing tactfully with others.
  • Responsible for adhering to federal, state, and local guidelines for safe and sanitary food handling, preparation, service, and storage.
  • General supervision will be provided by the Dietary/Housekeeping Supervisor and/or the Shift Supervisor, but the employee must be self-directed.
  • Experience with modified diets preferred.
