Deli Clerk Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include greeting customers, taking their orders, slicing, weighing and packaging deli products, and maintaining cleanliness of the deli area.
Our ideal candidate has strong customer service skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Previous experience in a deli, restaurant, or grocery store setting is a plus.
Responsibilities:
Provide excellent customer service, greet customers and respond to their inquiries and needs
Take customer orders and prepare deli items such as sandwiches, salads, cold cuts etc.
Use slicers, scales and other deli equipment
Maintain clean and sanitary deli area and equipment
Stock and replenish deli products as required
Ensure all food safety policies are strictly adhered to according to sanitary regulations
Monitor and maintain the deli’s inventory
Work collaboratively with team members
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience in food service or retail is a plus
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to operate slicers, scales, and other deli equipment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitary guidelines
