Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced CT Technologist to join a hospital-based diagnostic imaging department. The ideal candidate will have CT imaging experience, strong patient care skills, and the ability to perform high-quality diagnostic examinations in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Schedule
- Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
- Rotating Weekends and Holidays
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent
- Active New York State Radiologic Technologist License/Registration
- Minimum 1 year of CT or MRI experience as a Radiologic Technologist
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety and imaging protocols
- Ability to successfully complete pre-employment health requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Siemens CT scanners preferred
- Experience in an acute care hospital environment preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform CT and diagnostic radiology examinations according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures.
- Explain procedures and provide excellent patient care throughout the exam process.
- Select appropriate imaging techniques and exposure factors to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
- Ensure adherence to radiation safety standards and patient protection guidelines.
- Operate CT and imaging equipment efficiently and report equipment issues as needed.
- Document procedures accurately within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare providers to support patient diagnosis and treatment.
- Maintain compliance with departmental policies, procedures, and quality standards.
