If so, Clermont County is seeking a full-time Supervisor for Intake, Ongoing, and/or Foster to Adopt within the Department of Job and Family Services, Division of Children's Protective Services.

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (eligible for overtime)
Probationary Period: 180 Days
Salary: Negotiable depending on qualifications/experience (Minimum $63,855.00)

JOB DUTIES:
Directly supervises Children's Protective Services staff. Oversees and monitors statutory requirements. Determines adequacy of casework in compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, the Ohio Administrative Code, and internal policies. Reviews cases prior to transfer or closure. Works closely with the Prosecutor's Office, Juvenile Court, law enforcement, and other community partners pursuant to the County Plan of Cooperation. Assists caseworkers in making case decisions. Works with staff, other supervisors, the Assistant Director and legal counsel to determine if court action is appropriate. Assists in preparing cases for court hearings and testifies in court when appropriate. Provides education and training of new workers and evaluation of line staff. Assigns cases to the appropriate caseworker and gives guidance and direction on how to proceed. Provides consultation on cases. Uses reports and data to work with staff to improve performance and to ensure that staff are meeting all requirements. Works with the Internal Program Evaluator to ensure that staff participate in case reviews. Works with staff to improve issues that are identified during case reviews. Prepares and holds unit meetings to as necessary. Participates in agency staff development. Works with community partners to provide information and education regarding Children's Services and abuse, neglect and dependency. Participates in supervisor meetings and shares information as appropriate. Works alone or with other persons in short or long-term team projects to resolve problems or conflicts in any area of operations or to complete assigned projects at the direction of supervisor or Department Head when assigned. Works aggressively to reduce or eliminate safety/risk concerns in current position or work location. Reports safety/risk management issues to immediate supervisor. New and other related duties as assigned. As operational needs arise, may be required to assume additional duties of position within same classification.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A bachelor's degree in a human services related field preferred (i.e. social work, sociology, psychology, criminal justice) as required by a college or university;
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
The position possesses responsibility for the safety of children and/or adults by requiring the incumbent to make determinations as to whether these children/adults are in an "imminent risk of harm". These children/adults are incapable of protecting themselves from physical, mental, and/or sexual abuse. Applicants must meet the minimum qualification requirements stated above. Military education and experience may be substituted for college and vocational certificate level course work on a case-by-case basis based on the American Council on Education (ACE) Military Guide recommendations. For consideration please include a military transcript and/or Form DD214 with your application. Conditions and procedures for selection will be consistent with Clermont County Personnel Policy and/or Collective Bargaining Agreements, if applicable. Also, certain classifications, because of the nature of the work, require pre-placement and/or periodic physical examinations which may include drug/alcohol screening tests. Employment in a position with Clermont County Department of Job and Family Services is contingent upon successful completion and favorable adjudication of a criminal background check conducted by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations and the Federal Bureau of Investigations.
