Courtesy Officer - Apartment Community (North Little Rock / Maumelle, AR)
We are seeking a licensed Courtesy Officer to serve at our apartment community in the North Little Rock / Maumelle area. This position plays a key role in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for our residents. This role is ideal for an officer looking for an on-site position with housing included.
- Must be a currently licensed law enforcement officer in the same city or municipality as the assigned property.
Primary Responsibilities
The Courtesy Officer is responsible for providing routine security presence and monitoring the community during overnight hours, including:
Conducting a minimum of two (2) full property patrols per night, walking the grounds and inspecting all common buildings and amenity areas, including but not limited to:
Clubhouse
Pool areas
Playground areas
Patrol hours are 8:00 PM - 5:00 AM, seven (7) nights per week.
Monitoring and identifying suspicious activity and immediately reporting concerns to:
The appropriate local law enforcement agency
The Community Director
Providing additional patrol coverage on holidays, including but not limited to:
Fourth of July
New Year's Eve
Other high-traffic or special-event days as requested
Reporting any security concerns or maintenance issues, such as:
Poor lighting
Malfunctioning security lights
Unsafe conditions
Coordinating with the appropriate law enforcement agency and informing them of your on-site presence.
Submitting a weekly written activity report/log to the Community Director.
The Courtesy Officer will not engage in apprehension or citizen arrests unless required to protect individuals from immediate danger.
Qualifications
Must be a currently licensed law enforcement officer in the same city or municipality as the assigned property.
Police academy training or equivalent law enforcement training required.
Must be able to perform routine foot patrols and written reporting.
Must reside at the property - apartment home is included
