Description

  • Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures on construction sites.
  • Conduct regular safety training and toolbox talks for all site personnel.
  • Perform site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Investigate and report on-site accidents, incidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with project managers and teams to incorporate safety measures into project plans.
  • Maintain accurate safety records and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with local and federal safety standards.
  • Provide guidance and support to contractors and subcontractors regarding safety practices.

Profile

A successful Construction Safety Manager should have:

  • Previous experience as a Safety Manager in commercial construction.
  • Required certifications: OSHA 500 and/or OSHA 510.
  • Background working with a larger or highly structured GC preferred.
  • Strong field presence with the ability to influence crews and leaders.
  • Deep knowledge of OSHA standards and safety best practices.
  • Stable work history with strong tenure.
  • Practical, hands‑on approach to safety, not purely administrative.
