We are seeking a detail-oriented, part-time copy editor for a 5-month contract to review all published content, including newsletters, articles, and social media posts.
- Serve as the final reviewer, ensuring content is error-free, clear, consistent, and fair.
- Fact-check stories, refine headlines, and smooth sentences while preserving the writer's voice.
- Collaborate with reporters and editors in a fast-paced environment.
- Work primarily in the afternoons, 2-6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Requirements:
- Experience in copy editing, journalism, or related fields.
- Exceptional attention to detail and news judgment.
- Strong headline writing skills and organizational reliability under deadlines.
- Ability to work well with others, receptive to feedback.
