Position Overview
A growing real estate development group is seeking a highly entrepreneurial Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to build and lead a newly established property management company from the ground up. This role is ideal for a hands-on operator who thrives in startup-style environments and can independently build infrastructure, teams, processes, and operational systems. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience, experience building or scaling operations, and the ability to operate autonomously while driving execution at a high level.
The company has multiple residential projects currently nearing completion, with additional developments already in the pipeline throughout New York City.
Requirements
- Proven experience building or scaling a business unit, division, or company
- Strong operational leadership and team-building capabilities
- Experience managing multiple moving parts independently
- Ability to hire, structure, and lead teams
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Real estate or property management experience strongly preferred
- Executive-level decision-making and ownership mentality
- Ability to create structure, systems, and accountability
Responsibilities
- Build and scale the property management company from inception
- Create operational structure, workflows, and internal processes
- Develop long-term strategy alongside ownership
- Operate with high autonomy and ownership
- Hire and manage office staff, field operations, and maintenance leadership
- Build a strong operational culture and accountability structure
- Oversee growth of the management organization as new properties come online
- Deliver operational reporting and performance updates to ownership
- Ensure properties operate efficiently with minimal owner involvement
- Build scalable systems that support future portfolio growth
