Bridge Inspector INDOT EXP

A well-established engineering consulting firm is seeking a Bridge Inspector Indot to support its structural inspection team across the Midwest. This role offers a clear path to leadership while working on transportation infrastructure projects for public clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with field bridge inspections, including documentation, data collection, and report preparation
• Maintain inspection equipment, coordinate schedules, and support team logistics
• Progress into a leadership role overseeing on-site inspection activities
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams such as roadway, water resources, environmental, survey, and utilities
• Ensure accurate data entry and compliance with inspection standards and reporting requirements

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE), or
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology with EIT certification, or
• Equivalent experience (3+ years) in bridge design, construction, or maintenance
• Familiarity with state-level bridge inspection standards is a plus
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
• Ability to work in field environments, including uneven terrain and active sites
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel, including overnight stays
• Interest in advancing to a Team Leader role
