We are on the hunt for a dynamic, detail-oriented Consulting Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant to join our thriving sales team. The ideal candidate will have a knack for number crunching and a passion for supporting a high-performing team. You will be responsible for managing our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments, as well as providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office. This is a unique opportunity to play a crucial role in a fast-paced, exciting environment where your contributions will directly impact the bottom line.
Responsibilities:
As a Consulting Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities designed to support our sales team and enhance operational efficiency. These responsibilities include:
1. Maintaining accurate records of financial transactions and posting details of business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed, and totals accounts.
2. Conducting daily banking activities, producing various financial reports, and reconciling reports to third-party records such as bank statements.
3. Processing payroll, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
4. Assisting with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
5. Performing administrative assistant functions including managing calendars, making travel arrangements, and preparing expense reports.
6. Providing support to the sales team, ensuring all sales and service objectives are met.
7. Keeping an accurate record of all company charges, as well as the status of accounts and balances and identifying inconsistencies.
8. Assisting in streamlining and improving the accounting process by implementing changes and improvements.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will be a highly organized, detail-oriented individual with a passion for numbers and a flair for financial information. The following qualifications are required:
1. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a bookkeeping and administrative role, preferably within the sales industry.
2. Proven bookkeeping experience with a solid understanding of accounting payable/receivable principles.
3. Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
4. Experience with payroll processing and understanding of payroll laws.
5. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
7. Excellent administrative skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize work.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Experience with office management systems and procedures.
10. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, on multiple projects.
